Gary S. Perlman
graduated, cum laude
, from Northern Illinois University, College of Business, in 1982, with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1985, Mr. Perlman graduated from DePaul University College of Law and received his Juris Doctor degree; he was admitted to practice law that same year, and since that time, he has concentrated his practice in representing units of local government. He is a member of the Bar of the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Perlman represents numerous local governmental bodies as both general and special counsel. Additionally, Mr. Perlman represents municipal police and fire pension boards and counsels such boards with respect to procedures, hearings and other matters. Mr. Perlman counsels municipal clients on land use and construction related matters, and he represents municipal clients in construction related litigation. As municipal prosecutor for various municipalities, Mr. Perlman prosecutes local ordinance violations, including building, housing and zoning code violation cases.
